As a young child, I had no idea what photography was all about. I assumed it was just a print you had to look back on in order to remember your past. I was adopted at the young of five, and the first picture that was taken of me was when I was already two or three years old. Without this picture, I would have no idea what I looked like back then. Sadly I had only had a few pictures to look back on before the age of six. I loved that my adopted parents captured pictures of us all the time since it taught me that cameras could really stop time. I soon was given a camera of my very own, so I could capture my own memories. This was a gift my parents gave me when we got legally adopted at the age of 10. Soon after I turned into my family's personal photographer. Whenever we had family gatherings I just had to bring my camera to capture the memories. I knew then that I wanted to learn more about photography so took photography classes in High School and College. The rest was history in the making.
Hey, I'm Deanna!
Here's a snapshot into my world.
A Little Behind The Scenes Of My Life
I live and breathe traveling. My most memorable trip was when I went to Europe for 2.5 months by myself for my 30th bday. I went to 42 cities and 12 countries. I have since traveled all over the states and some of them consist of:
- Miami/ Key West
- New York,( been there three times) New Jersey and Philly
- Boston
-San Francisco (been there 4 times)
-All over Michigan, since my husband is from there. Love all the lighthouses, bodies of water, and bridges.
- All over Oregon
- Seattle (twice and love Orcas Island)
- Utah (Love Arches National Park)
- Las Vegas (lots of photo conferences are there)
- Minnesota since my Dad's from there.

I have two brothers that mean the world to me. This is a picture of us when we were barely 19 and 20. I came from a blended family since I was adopted at a young age, and my older brother was adopted to another family. I spend a lot of time with my twin brother and my older brother when I can since he lives in San Fran. Family is very important to me. I got a an amazing bonus family after marrying my husband.

-I read whenever I have time and my favorite authors are;
Danielle Steel,
Nicholas Sparks
Mary Higgins Clark
James Patterson
I'm all about self help books too. We can never stop working on ourselves.
-We have two adorable kitties that keep me company daily. Echo is our orange tabby, and Victoria is our a b&w tabby. They normally don't lay like this so it's funny to see them cuddling. My cats are named after LOVE. My other cats Levi and Oscar made up the L and the O, and now Victoria is the V and Echo is the E.
-I try to volunteer at least a few times a year and give blood.

Deanna is absolutely amazing! We used her for our engagement photos and our wedding and our photos are stunning! She is great at suggesting locations that work with the setting you would like and it great at giving feedback while taking photos to make sure they turn out great! She had some fun ideas for us to try and those are some of our favorite photos! She makes you feel comfortable and listens to what you want! Our indoor and outdoor pictures all turned out perfect!
For our wedding, the sun was setting and she got some amazing shots with the sun and the glare of the sun casting over my husband and I that are AMAZING. She saw it coming and made sure we took advantage of the scenery.
I cannot recommend Deanna enough!

My husband and I have used Deanna as a photographer multiple times. The first job was to take photos at a 60th Birthday surprise party. She was able to work the crowd and get the posed and candid shots we were hoping for. She captured the memories of the evening perfectly! When I got engaged I immediately went to Deanna for our engagement photos and subsequently our wedding photos. She did a wonderful job engaging me and the wedding party. She had great ideas and was open to my ideas as well. I would recommend Deanna 100%!

Deanna (Drive the Image) photographed our outdoor wedding in October. She was a pleasure to work with and took the time to listen to what our goals were with ceremony photos. One of the things that really drew us to Drive the Image over other photographers was Deanna’s editing style. My husband and I see lots of photographs where the editing is so heavy it distorts what the day looked like. It was very important to us to to find a photographer that would have a light hand at editing because we wanted the photos to be a true representation of our wedding day. We were very happy with what Deanna produced!

I was connected to Deanna through my DJ at Aisle Finesse and It took us three tries to make our 2020 pandemic wedding happen, but Deanna and her team were amazing and flexible with us every step of the way. She made the day so special by capturing all the special moments and navigating the crazy wind at Abasin. She kept us organized and made sure to capture all the things that mattered the most to me and my husband. I loved that she captured the beautiful yellow fall colors behind me and my dad waking off the lift, which was symbolic to me since it was my late mother’s favorite color. On a hectic day, she stayed calm under pressure and made it all seamless. What I appreciate the most about Deanna is that she rushed to get all of my photos edited and ready to go as she was planning her own wedding that had to be rescheduled because of the wildfires. She is a true professional and genuinely cares about capturing what matters to you. Thank you for everything!!!

Deanna did an awesome job taking pictures of my husband and I very small intimate wedding. She even put up with 6 inches of snow and 22 degree weather in Lory State Park. She captured the amazing winter wonderland that mother nature provided. I couldn’t be any happier with her work. I would definitely recommend her.

I love Deanna's work as a photographer. That is why I hired her to take photos of my wedding on June 15, 2021. They are amazing photos and I love them all. She is fun to work with, kind and professional. She is a photographer you want to have taking photos of your wedding or even just family photos. She has a wonderful eye for pictures. Also, she dealt with our grumpy child wonderfully and even got a few good smirks out of him. Trust me he was being extremely stubborn and she got one of our favorite shots with him smiling a little smile. I love even the candid ones with us dancing.
